Are you searching for the perfect summer vacation spot to avoid the heat?

Capitol Reef National Park is your spot! The average temperatures range from 83-88 degrees Fahrenheit in June and July. The evenings are cool and drop to around 58-60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hiking and outdoor actives can be hot and exhausting when it's over 100 degree. Because Capitol Reef National Parks elevation ranges between 6,000 and 9,000 feet the summer months are a wonderful temperature.

Along with the great temperatures you will also avoid the crowds! Capitol Reef is one of the smallest national parks in Utah. This makes it also the least visited park of all 5 national parks. If you are planning on visiting all 5 parks make sure to plan some extra days in Capitol Reef and the Torrey area to relax and recoup from the crowds and cool down. Visit the Red Sands Hotel website for some great hiking tips and trail ideas to plan your trip! #redsandshotel #capitolreefnationalpark #rockgardeneateryandbar #capitolreef
